This is a young coffee tree we planted from seed. South Kivu has prime environmental conditions for growing specialty grade arabica coffee, including altitude, rainfall, and rich volcanic soil.

Organic acid qualities in coffee can be enhanced by compost.

We have enriched the soil for this coffee seedling with organic compost we have transformed from urban waste in our neighborhood.
