Some of our VET updates...

Pic 1 is Slinky. There is more going on with this girl, she is being reassessed as she has developed a lump near her cloaca which has started bleeding. She also seems to have an intestinal blockage or something of the sort which will likely require surgery. However due to her weakened state that may not be possible, and we may not have many options.

Pic 2 & 3 is Nibs. Those who may remember Nibs, she had a ton of stuck shed covering both eyes and severely injuring one. While her left eye has healed and she seems to be able to see from it; (although we dont know how clearly)
Her right eye has gotten worse, rather then better. She has significant swelling and assuming increased pressure within the eye itself. This will also require surgery.

Pic 4 & 5 is Clyde. Clyde has been with us for quite some time. (Approx 2 yrs.) While he has been a perfectly healthy boy and great eater this whole time we have run into an issue. While visiting with a potential adoptive family we noticed an injured couple scales, from what we can only guess must have been caused by getting caught on something within his enclosure. (He has since been moved to quaranteen, and being treated with betodine soaks and topical cream while he awaits his appt.)

Unfortunately exotic vetting is not cheap. We are not partnered with a vet, we do not recieve any government funding, nor do we get any additional discounts. It is all our own money. While we keep our adoption fees low, and it does bring in a bit, it does not even begin to cover the vetting costs we incur

We have fallen behind our posts between getting ready for the expo and adoptions afterwards, however we would like to introduce this young lady.
She shows obvious signs of mbd, is very skittish and quite underweight. It was reported that she hadent been eating in quite some time before she came to us.

Keep your eye on this little girl, for updates to come!

This sweet little girl came to us from Petland (crossroads) after being dropped off, by some young rescuers. She appears to have some sort of sunburn over most of her body, she definately has some significant signs of mbd, as well as a possible lump in her abdomen.
