Cat-sitting Cleo in Hintonburg, Ottawa, from June 21 to July 19, 2025. She’s a very cool cat—perfect company during these hot temperatures! Lots of ambitious young people in the area, and thank goodness for the two air conditioners running at once!

The àVélo electric bike-sharing service was launched in May 2021. There are now 165 well-placed stations and 1,600 electric bikes across Quebec City.
For single rides, the rate is $1.00 plus $0.33 per minute. A 30-day membership is $36.00 and can be linked to your RTC OPUS transit card. After 30 minutes, there’s an extra charge of $0.25 per minute.
Just bring your helmet! Each bike includes a front rack that can carry up to 10 lbs and a built-in lock. The seat can easily be adjusted to fit your height.
Need a bike for the whole day? A 24-hour rental is just $19.00.
