🚨 Now Hiring: Director of Prevention and Mitigation (Remote – Canada) 🚨
Are you a strategic leader passionate about wildfire resilience, risk reduction, and building strong partnerships? CIFFC is looking for a Director of Prevention and Mitigation to lead the FireSmart Canada program and advance wildfire prevention and mitigation initiatives across the country. This is a term-based opportunity (maternity leave backfill).
The successful applicant will be an experienced leader with a background in risk management, emergency management, business administration, or a related field, along with a proven track record in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and team leadership.
In this senior leadership role, you will:
- Lead CIFFC’s Prevention and Mitigation Division
- Drive implementation of national wildfire prevention strategies
- Build and strengthen partnerships with government, Indigenous organizations, and key stakeholders
- Oversee program development, budgets, and a team of passionate employees
- Advance innovative approaches to wildfire risk reduction and community resilience
📍 Location: Remote (Open to candidates across Canada)
✈️ Travel: Required
📅 Term Position: August 2026 to March 2028
