ART CITY SURREAL BALL PHOTOS BY KAREN ASHER!!!

Part 2 of 2!

We hosted our 2026 fundraising party, the Art City Surreal Ball, on Saturday, May 2 at the Masonic Temple, 335 Donald.

Guests arrived in attire inspired by surreal art! It was an achievement in fashion, the most abnormal formal ever seen in Winnipeg.

Photographer Karen Asher took these photos of Surreal Ball guests posing in a living room set designed and built in Art City programming.

Due to the unfinished nature of the building, all of our power was make-shift. After the party was underway, the first floor power supply was overwhelmed, plunging parts of the building into darkness.

Karen Asher, being so cool under adverse circumstances, continued, improvising lighting that made for even better results than we could have planned for. Have a look through these photos!

Tag your friends, and let's all thank Karen for creating this incredible documentation of a legendary night!
