SCE LifeWorks has never had an employee celebrate 35 years of service…until today!
Randy Dilk has provided dedicated service as an Individualized Support Worker since June 6, 1991. Over that time, he has helped a number of men connect with community through employment, volunteerism, and other valued roles.

With his sense of humour, steady hand, and deep commitment, Randy has enriched many lives. We are grateful that he has dedicated his working life to our mission and to the men he has supported and continues to support.

The elusive Mr. Dilk is sometimes shy about these kinds of posts and didn’t want to share a photo. Someone managed to dig one up, though, and Randy thought it was “perfect.” Would we typically post this kind of photo, where it looks like someone left the Randy machine on overnight? Maybe not. But when we’re celebrating the first 35-year employee in SCE LifeWorks’ history, we’re happy to make an exception.

Please join us in thanking Randy and celebrating this remarkable milestone!

Honouring National Indigenous History Month

June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada. It's a time to recognize, celebrate, and learn about the rich histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

It is also an opportunity for reflection: to acknowledge the impacts of colonialism, honour resilience, and commit to meaningful reconciliation.

This month is a chance to celebrate the languages and storytelling that carry knowledge across generations, the vibrant traditions and identitites, connection to the land that is rooted in sustainability and stewardship, and leadership and resilience in the face of historical and ongoing challenges.

National Indigenous History Month is not just about looking back, it’s about moving forward. Reconciliation is an ongoing process that requires awareness, respect, and action. By learning, listening, and supporting Indigenous communities, we can all contribute to a more inclusive and equitable future.
