We are just around the corner for the busiest season for massage therapists! I highly recommend pre-booking appointments to avoid disappointment. ๐Ÿค—

As you may know, I am also a nursing student and this will actually be my first semester in person for this degree! Unfortunately that means I have reduced daytime availability but increased evenings and weekends. As I familiarize myself with my school schedule, more appointments will be added online when possible.

5 great upper body/neck stretches

๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ Photo 1&2 are FANTASTIC for upper trapezius & levator scapulae. Make sure to bring the bottom arm down and use your breath to get deeper into the stretch!

๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ Photo 3 is for your scalenes! These small but mighty neck muscles work soooo hard. Make sure to give them some love! You can gently hold on to the side of your head and walk the arm out to the side to increase the stretch

๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ Photo 4 is for your upper back, primarily for your middle traps & rhomboids! Picture your scapula pulling further apart as you breathe in to this one

๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ Photo 5 is a personal fave, for your pecs! This can be done at a wall or on the floor. Make sure your shoulder stays far away from your ear!

๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ Photo 6 is another great stretch for the rhomboids and will get into your obliques as well! This is one of my favourites to do after a long day at the computer!

Give these a whirl and let me know what you think! โœจ ๐Ÿค—

Lots of my clients have been asking questions about stretching lately! How much? How long? How often? This timelapse video shows what I did to stretch after a great leg day workout from .nurse ! I held each stretch for about 5 slow deep breaths and this took just over 10 minutes. My legs feel so so good! This is an awesome series to do anytime of day as well! Put on your favourite tunes, try these out and let me know what you think! โ˜บ๏ธ
