I had two little girls many years ago and out of sharing Christmas with them came making cookies together and telling stories. During worl war II Iwas separated from my parents but I went to a local church and loved Christmas time. I liked the idea of helping others and my mother said people had to do that alot when they lived in the 1930's and I saw the same need in war. One day after Christmas I felt I had the idea for a story linking the past to our present.I thought of the Jewish Hanakah (shown below) and of sepherds who heard the angels. But i also showed how jessie was kind to all she met.The clues are on the book cover!A Cookie for the Christ Child came to me that quickly. I also loved Christina Rossetti's poetry and chose 'Love comes down at Christma's to write music for it.

I love to write stories for children. Years ago when I was teaching, I saw the need for informative local books which through a story, can entertain children as well. l wrote about places I visited with my own children such as jack Miner's Point Pelee and local Fairs. Since then I've written 8 picture books, an early chapter novel for Christmas and one about Merlin and the red dragon, two middle grade stories and two histoical novels for YA or adults.
