Less screens. More connection 🤍
Play is one of the most powerful ways to support early communication.
For early communicators, play doesn’t need to be complicated:
• keep language simple (1-2 words; short phrases)
• model instead of asking questions
• pause and wait
• follow your child’s lead
• repeat words during meaningful moments
And a reminder we all need: model now, words come later.
Understanding comes before imitation—and that takes time.
If this resonates, save it for later 🤍
Share it with a parent, educator, or therapist who might need the reminder—and tell me in the comments: which play tip do you use most?
