💚 Our Adult Day Program is more than a place to spend the day, it’s a space where connection, care, and purpose come together. 🌟

Every visit offers meaningful engagement, therapeutic support, and a sense of belonging, not just for our clients, but for their families too.

Just ask Ingrid, who depends on support for her 40-year-old daughter, Sharon, who attends the Adult Day Program. Recently, Ingrid added yoga to her self-care routine.

“It’s something that I’ve recently realized that I need for some self-care,” she said. “Doing things for yourself, which obviously keeps me healthy to care for her, is what caregivers really need.”

While Ingrid enjoys some much-needed time for herself, Sharon enjoys the social energy, people, staff, and the laughter at the Adult Day Program.

“She loves the people, the music, the bingo games, and the one-on-one interactions she gets,” Ingrid said.

✨ Celebrating Our Ajax/Pickering Volunteers! ✨

We were thrilled to come together on Tuesday, May 26 at the McLean Community Centre to celebrate our incredible Ajax/Pickering volunteers!

This year’s theme, “Volunteering Sparks Joy,” perfectly captured the spirit of the day, honouring the meaningful impact our volunteers make and the joy, connection, and kindness they bring to our communities.

The celebration kicked off with a special Awards Ceremony recognizing milestone years of service. A heartfelt congratulations to Judy Twombly for an amazing 20 years of dedication. What an inspiring achievement! 👏

Following the awards, guests enjoyed a delicious meal catered by The Pantry Shelf Cafe Bakery & Fine Foods. A fantastic job to Liz and her team! 🍽️

A special thank you to Colleen Paris, Supervisor of the Adult Day Program, for serving as an outstanding emcee. Your energy brought so much joy and laughter to the room! 🎤✨

We are also grateful to the Town of Ajax for generously providing the hall space to host this celebration.
