The fastest way to increase RNG is often to clean up your digester's diet.

When stakeholders say, “we need more gas,” the instinct is: add higher-energy feedstocks (meaning, fat!).

But step one is usually subtraction, not addition.

Before you ramp fat, reduce feedstocks that bring:

- Low fuel value (e.g. feedstocks with too much water), and

- Low nutritional value (e.g. feedstocks with too much inert solids, non-digestible fiber).

Less junk in the diet = more room for high fuel value feedstocks = fewer surprises when you start pushing OLR.
