Conrad Grebel University College

It's a sad day for the Grebel landscape, as old age and recent storms in Waterloo Region have weakened and felled one of the oldest willow trees on our side of the creek.

Estimated to be as old as the Grebel building, this willow located at the edge of Laurel Creek near the Black Walnut Garden provided shade and beauty for generations of Grebel students and guests. It will surely be missed!

Grebel alum Yvonne Rogalski (BA 1995) has recently published her book "Hysterectomy: A Memoir".

Yvonne shares an honest account of her years experiencing chronic endometriosis, and the "terrifying absurd, sometimes hilarious business of almost not surviving it."

The book is dedicated to "the woman in pain, the people who love them, and the healthcare professionals trying to help them."

Marcus is a visionary, ethical, and effective leader who deeply understands and embodies Grebel’s unique identity and mission.”

“Marcus has been praised throughout the Grebel community for his wise and steady leadership and his broad and transparent approach to both the day-to-day management and long-term stewardship of the College,” added Cheung. “He has been a stabilizing force in the current fiscal climate and earned widespread endorsement for another term from the Grebel Board, faculty, staff, and students.”
