⁠Returning to the WLU rockwall staff this semester is Shayan! He is in his 4th year of Health sciences here at Laurier, and started his climbing journey at the rockwall in his first year. Here’s a quick Q&A with Shayan:

What sport do you do aside from rock climbing?
I love playing futsal aside from rock climbing.

What’s the best freezie colour?
Orange on 🔝

Where’s somewhere you’d like to travel?
Japan, for their beautiful culture and maybe climbing

⭐️ HELLO LAURIER CLIMBERS ⭐️

Think you’ve got what it takes to crush a bouldering comp? Prove it at the Laurier Rockwall Boulder Bash on Monday, October 20th! The competition will run in two heats: the first from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and the second from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. With the $5 sign-up fee, you’ll have the chance to attempt 21 climbs in a scramble format. After both heats and all scorecards are submitted, we’ll email the individuals with the top three scores to claim their prizes at the rockwall. So, whether you’re chasing the podium, looking to test your skills, or wanting to meet other climbers in the Laurier community, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
