"In our sensory sensitive children, low sensory tolerance is easily misread as our child not liking something and/or permanently being resistant to it. The new activity causes stress so they react accordingly. However, if you introduce the new activity gently, work on it consistently, and slowly increase the amount of time spent on it (while always watching for signs of fatigue or STRESS), you will see their tolerance for the activity improve and they may even start to love it!"
