Last Friday night, we held a neighborhood movie night at the Victoria park pavilion. Seeing many of our neighbours enjoying themselves, and getting to know each other, was a reminded of the critical role that local neighbourhood associations play in creating a welcoming and vibrant community.

We also put on our annual Pumpkinpalooza last month which was a lot of fun and brought everyone together.

In recognition of the impact that these types of events have on our community, Pumpkinpalooza was awarded the City of Kitchener Safe Neighborhoods Award.

Church of the Holy Saviour, Anglican founded in 1898, is undergoing some major changes as they address challenges in their current building structure. Our role was to assist them in transforming their place of worship into a fully inclusive and accessible space for their active congregation.

Through our analysis, we determined that the most efficient way to achieve this was to reimagine the central link between the Parish Hall and the Sanctuary; which doubles as a new circulation hub and event space. By inserting the "Key" between the two wings, we eliminated the need for ramps and several inaccessible floor heights.

We're happy to continue working with Frey Building Contractors on a shop addition for Earthscape Ontario. This addition expands on their head office we originally designed in 2018.

Repurposing underutilized space within our urban boundaries is becoming an increasingly important piece of the housing puzzle as we look to intensify our cities while still respecting the existing built form.

This long vacant site nestled between existing buildings in Downtown Kitchener will soon be home to 6 residential units along with a ground floor commercial space.

Here is a view of progress on the upper floor showcasing a lofty, light filled space in an otherwise compact footprint.
