From Old to Gold

Your old yarn left overs, your old fabric scrap left overs, and your kids' discarded dolls and stuffies are easily transformed into little treasures for children around the world who may have little or nothing to comfort them in their grief or sorrow.
I look after this project for Canadian Food for Children, located in Kitchener.
Since 2019, I've made 735 of these carry bags for each of the 735 donations of stuffies and dolls.
The blankets are a new idea which just started this month.
These get sent to over 20 countries to kids who need more than solely their hunger fixed.

Old wooden crates, butter boxes, cheese boxes ... just stain and clear coat, stack and voila! Makes for interesting storage/display spaces.

I'd forgotten I still had some beautiful ivory upholstery fabric sitting around for nothing. SEW I added 6 new ivory place mats to my existing collection of 4 for Valentine's Day.
