On March 13th, join us for a day full of hands-on workshops where you will have the opportunity to learn new in-demand tech skills in Machine Learning and Distributed Computing (and get badges for your LinkedIn & resume), meet industry professionals in **better than your average** networking sessions, complete challenges and win prizes.
Oh, and did we mention you will also get exclusive beta access to the Distributed Computer: a powerful and easy to use distributed computing platform.

Previous computer science and or programming knowledge is encouraged as we will not be offering a complete beginners track but if you are newer to JavaScript we have a special workshop for you.
Details
What: A day full of learning, networking, and fun challenges.
For the morning sessions, you will get to choose from a few cutting-edge, hands-on workshops. Topics range from machine learning, intro to JavaScript to distributed computing.
At lunch, you will get to network with some kick-ass developers, industry professionals, and data scientists in a fun and non-intimidating environment. We will close off the day with some fun challenges and prizes.

The AI4Good Lab is a tuition-free machine learning bootcamp for women-identified STEM students and graduates across Canada.
The program consists of a mashup of a machine learning bootcamp, hackathon, and self-directed team projects. It was founded by Doina Precup and Angelique Manella in Montreal in 2017 and is founded by the OSMO foundation and CIFAR.
Our call for applications is open now until February 15th and we are seeking applicants from around the country!

Program details:
+ Montreal program, hosted by Mila: May 4th to June 19th
- Four weeks of Machine Learning curriculum
- Two day hackathon (collaboration with Google)
- Three weeks of self-directed team projects to develop an AI for social good prototype
+ Edmonton pilot program, hosted by Amii: July 6th to July 17th
- Machine learning curriculum
- Hackathon
+ We charge no tuition fees (small $75 registration fee for selected applicants only)
+ Every participant receives a small stipend (location dependent)
+ Travel grants available to reduce economic barriers
Eligibility criteria:
- Woman-identified
- Located across Canada
- Currently enrolled in a STEM focused undergraduate program or have graduated within the last 2 years from such a program
- Strong math background, some programming experience
- Interested in how AI can be used as a tool for social change
