The Downbeat Presents:

Three Victoria favourites here to make you dance the night away to the best in House, Techno, Tech House, and some greasy curveballs thrown for good measure.  Shane Lighter has been a favourite of ours and his sets always show us why- bumping, edgy and fun 4/4 dance music.  He’ll be shutting this one down 12:30-2.  Sarah-Hannah is an Island veteran who has DJed all over the world- her last set at the club was on New Years Eve.  11-12:30.  Dave Dirk is a dance music afficianado whose sets always hit on the floor- House, Techno, Blog House, Electro- always showing deep crates sensibilities and making us dance- he’ll be serving the 9-11 extended opening set.

The Downbeat Presents:
This is a massive moment for us at 1325 Government Street. This space was empty for 12 years before it was re imagined as the downbeat, from 2000-2014 it was the legendary Hush Niteclub- a sanctuary for q***r culture, drag and tightly curated underground dance music- Hush was open to all who were down with the culture. With this show we pay homage to the legacy that was so formative to many of us who now work and dance at this space. Please join in celebration of Pride 2026. Hosted by Jaghed Studios, there will be Drag performances curated by the inimitable Henrietta Dubet, and a Parade Of The Dolls- where we will determine who has the best Pride fit, and, of course we have the DJ’s!

Proceeds go to The Foundry Victoria and The UVic Pride Award in Honour of David Tillson.
