Tara received her Masters in Counselling Psychology, at Athabasca University, BA in Psychology from the University Of Victoria, and has over 10 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through a variety of life challenges. As a registered Clinical Counsellor, Certified Meditation Instructor, EMDR Basic Practitioner, and OCD Expert, Tara takes a holistic approach to counselling and wellness where she can apply a variety of modalities to therapy sessions.

Her experiences include working in numerous counselling settings; private sessions, school districts, provincial prisons, First Nations Communities, and the BC Schizophrenia Society. Tara works with OCD and Anxiety, Trauma, relationship struggles and daily life stressors. Her clients value her calming and soothing presence. Areas of Specialization include EMDR, OCD, and Couples Counselling.

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS: Tara is registered in good standing, as a clinical counselor with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors. Tara is also a member of The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, as well as The International OCD Federation.

“Completing my education while raising my young son was very challenging but also rewarding. Growing up I experienced anxiety and I was surprised how much speaking with a therapist allowed me to develop self-awareness and agency over my life. This sparked an interest for me in this work and a passion for creating safe spaces for people to explore their personal journeys. When I am not in the office, I can be found enjoying time at the gym, hiking, playing soccer, traveling, and watching my son play hockey and lacrosse.”

Farewell & Best Wishes to Jenn Watson, RMT

We’re sending our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Jenn Watson, RMT, as she embarks on an exciting new chapter with the opening of her own practice, Revival Massage Therapy.

Jenn, you filled our hallway with laughter, your banter and stories were a staple in the lunchroom. We’re so grateful for all the care you’ve shared with your clients — and a heartfelt thank you for taking a chance on us when we first opened and helping us get up off the ground.

While we will really miss your presence here, we couldn’t be happier to see you take this well-deserved step forward. Wishing you every success and fulfillment in this next adventure!
