We’re excited to share that Wendy Coldwell has been selected as this year’s Know Your Neighbour Community Grant recipient! Last week we met up with Wendy Coldwell to share the exciting news.

Wendy is a true inspiration at Portage West and throughout the wider community. She champions mental health resources, the power of staying active, and the value of meaningful community connection. Always learning, always moving, and always lifting others up—Wendy shows us just how far curiosity, kindness, and empathy can take you. (Her next adventure: a cycling trip through Thailand!)

Wendy has chosen to direct the charitable portion of her grant to Camosun College’s Erasing Barriers to Education Fund, which has supported more than 500 students since 2020 with essentials like food security, housing, medical bills, childcare, tuition, and more.
