With a home base at the beautiful University of Victoria, researchers in the Baum Lab conduct statistical analyses of large data sets, field observations and experiments to investigate how human disturbances alter marine populations, community structure, and ecosystem stability, and the broader implications of these changes for our society. Current research focuses on remote Pacific coral reefs, north temperate marine ecosystems, and global meta-analyses.
