First the design is drawn out and I play around with shapes and ideas. Then I take black or white clay and mix with shiny mica powder to add a personal touch into the final colour. The clay is rolled out, cut, baked, sanded and polished in preparation for resin to bring out the shine! Resin also adds durability to the piece itself, making it tougher and longer lasting.
