This is Endometriosis
Our four-city screening series is about more than watching a film. It’s about opening a more honest conversation around pain, diagnosis, treatment, fertility, and what it means to be truly seen in care.
Each evening features an expert panel conversation with local leaders in endometriosis, pelvic pain, fertility, and patient-centred care.
We hope you’ll join us.

To the light shifting through the trees.
The sound of water.
The way the air feels different in the morning.
These micro-moments are always here.
Waiting.
And something in us softens when we let them in.
What’s one small thing you’ve noticed today?
What shifted, even slightly, as you lingered for just a moment to notice?

A long weekend reminder:
It’s okay to rest.
And rest does not necessarily require stillness. It can be living and dynamic, a breathing state of natural exchange.
I thought of this while walking in the woods yesterday.
The soft give of the trail beneath my feet. The innumerable shades of green everywhere. The quiet conversation between breath, body, and trees.
Rest does not always mean stepping away from life. Sometimes it’s stepping back into a more intimate relationship with it.
With the body.
With the senses.
With the part of ourselves that gets buried under all the doing.
And as the week prepares to begin again, there can be a pull to get back to routine quickly. To catch up. To arrive already moving at full speed.
But you don’t have to rush your way back.
If today feels like a slow start, let it be a slow start. Let the softness come with you.
A little permission today to put something down. To pause, even briefly, and let the eyes linger long enough to really take something in. To let the world meet you.
And to bring small moments of rest and softening into the week ahead.

Waiting.
It’s such a small word for something that takes up so much space.
If you’re mid-wait right now - for an appointment, a result, or news that feels like it’s taking forever - this might be a moment to be especially gentle with yourself.
One slower breath.
A little grace.
That’s enough. 🤍

As Mother’s Day approaches, I’m thinking of everyone this weekend who might feel tender.
Those still trying to conceive.
Those grieving a pregnancy, a baby, or a child.
Those missing the life they hoped would be here by now.
Those with complicated relationships with their mothers.
Those grieving them, missing them, or longing for something that was never quite there.
Where I live, the camas flowers are blooming again. Sweeping fields of purple, spilling down the cliffside toward the ocean.
They always remind me of Mother’s Day, and how beauty and ache can live side by side.
Please let yourself move through this weekend in the way you need to.
Skip what feels like too much.
Log off when you need space.
Spend time in nature.
Rest your body.
Be with someone who gets it.
Say no without guilt.
May your grief be met with tenderness.
May your longing have room to breathe.
And may the part of you that has hoped, waited, remembered, and kept going be held with gentleness.
Sending love to every tender heart moving through Mother’s Day. 💜

If your heart and nervous system feel tired from your fertility journey, you’re not alone.
The Ground to Grow spring cohort begins next week, and you’re warmly invited to join us.
This 6-week series is built around short, practical tools you can use in everyday moments — especially the ones that tend to spike stress and anxiety: the two-week wait, appointments, triggers, tender conversations, and the quiet loneliness or grief that can creep in.
And we do it together, because community is a kind of medicine. Being with others who understand can soften the sense of “it’s just me,” and help you feel a little more steady week by week.
