Last September I had the privilege of working with other immensely talented women to create this bridal styled shoot that had been bouncing in my head for over a year.
The inspiration for this gorgeous session started from a simple handwritten script on a tablecloth (and after hours of searching online for the perfect shade of pink, I decided to hand dye a tablecloth with gloves to match, because why not? 🤷‍♀️) Am I aware of how incredibly labour intensive my ideas always seem to be? Not in the least 😅 not only was I 7 months pregnant at the time, I was also battling a cold and not sleeping (from said bébé) - but my mindset has always been to GET THE JOB DONE 😂 and boy am I glad I did it ✨

A gorgeous full-of-colour family session that creatively woke me up and inspired a continuous love affair with shooting flash in direct sun ☀️

When Sarah first inquired with me - she said that she never felt inspired to hire a family photographer to capture her family - until me. And quite frankly, those words stuck with me. So I did what I do best - I came up with beautifully mundane day-to-day things to do during our session, but with a playful direction - the vintage blue cooler used as an outdoor bubble bath for the kiddos, asking them to bring their handmade wooden pink cactus bench outdoors to be planted amongst the bushes, painting a large canvas outside while their bright yellow door is in full view, to posing with Joe’s other "babies" (his loving pot plants 😂😂).

What a treat it was to capture these sweet fleeting moments 🥰
