Spending the evening at Art Vancouver supporting the talented Miriam # # .
Artists from across Canada have come together to showcase their work, and the amount of creativity under one roof is incredible. Great art, great people, good wine, and a fantastic atmosphere.
I’ve become a big fan of Miriam’s work. Her dark, symbolic figurative paintings have a way of drawing you in and making you stop and think. They remind me of the old question: Does art imitate life, or does life imitate art? The more time I spend looking at her work, the less certain I am of the answer. There’s a depth, emotion, and storytelling within her pieces that I really appreciate.
Proud to be here supporting a friend and celebrating the Canadian art community. Wishing Miriam an amazing show tonight. 🎨🍷

Stopped by in Abbotsford today to personally sign all the newly restocked copies of Drakonia Series Book 1, The Dragon’s Flute.
I also signed the very first copies of the newly released and highly anticipated Drakonia Series Book 2, The Hidden Night, making Coles Sevenoaks the FIRST bookstore to officially stock the new release.
As the books were being placed onto the shelves, signed copies were already selling on the spot.
If you want one, you better get down there fast before they’re gone.
Fantasy just got darker.

I liked this one even more than the first book. .moonwitch ‘s The Raven & The Aspen King takes the story into a darker and more intense direction, and it kept me invested the whole way through.
The atmosphere is one of the strongest parts of the book. Everything feels tense, unpredictable, and emotionally heavy without overdoing it. Sahara was probably the standout character for me because she actually feels believable. She’s flawed, vulnerable, stubborn, and strong at the same time, which made her easy to root for.
The story also does a good job keeping you guessing. Every time I thought I knew where things were going, something shifted and pulled me back in. By the ending, I immediately wanted to continue the trilogy.
If you enjoy darker fantasy with strong character tension, mystery, and emotional weight, this book is definitely worth reading.
