The Tudor-style peaked entryway with its carved “Oak Bay Beach Hotel” sign once welcomed guests to the original Oak Bay Beach Hotel for over 90 years.
In 2006 the doors to the hotel were ceremoniously closed. The doors were removed for careful preservation, the carved sign, antique lights and glass-paned entry were all thoughtfully restored and reinstalled into today’s newest incarnation of the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
Fittingly, this entrance was the first door through which the public were welcomed back in 2012. Today, these same doors stand as the entrance of Faro restaurant, still greeting guests with the same spirit of hospitality that began decades ago.
