Sweet Story truly lives up to her name. Rescued from the outdoors in eastern Ontario, she’s grown from a shy, uncertain cat into a loving, affectionate companion who now adores cuddles and attention.

However, after the recent illness and passing of her guardian, Story, now 6 years old, returned to AVA’s care. It was quickly clear that something was wrong. She’s been diagnosed with a painful and progressive condition called Iris Bombe and an advanced cataract. She needs surgery to remove her eye, along with a full dental extraction to relieve the pain she’s experiencing while eating.

The estimated cost is $2,500.
