: Meet Connor Stewart

For Feature Friday, we’re highlighting Connor Stewart, a Client Success Coordinator with our Audiology team.

Connor is often the first point of contact for clients connecting with Wavefront Centre. In his role, he helps guide clients to the services and support they need, while also assisting with inventory management, IT support, and other day-to-day operations that help keep services running smoothly.

Connor brings lived experience to his work and understands many of the communication barriers clients may face. Through his role, he helps create a supportive, barrier-free environment where clients feel welcomed, understood, and encouraged.

He also enjoys sharing personal tips from his own experience navigating daily life with cochlear implants and has inspired others to keep moving forward.

: Celebrating 25 years of impact

As part of our year-long celebration of Wavefront Centre's 70th anniversary, we're sharing the people and milestones that helped shape communication accessibility.

This photo captures the Western Institute of the Deaf's 25th Anniversary Gala, held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver in 1981.

Founded in 1956 through the vision and determination of Deaf and Hard of Hearing community members, families, and advocates, the organization spent its first 25 years building a stronger foundation for communication accessibility across British Columbia.

That legacy continues today as we work to create more accessible, inclusive communities for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing people.
