Our lab director, Prof. Adele Diamond, with Dr. Rania Okby, the world's first female Bedouin physician. Dr. Okby is currently doing a fellowship in advanced obstetrics at Toronto's Sunnybrook Health Science Centre.

Prof. Diamond recently co-hosted with Prof. Judy Illes a presentation by Dr. Okby at UBC.

She was recently featured in The Globe and Mail, alongside other faces of Sunnybrook. You can read more about her by visiting http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/health-and-fitness/advsunnybrook/sunnybrookabout/we-are-sunnybrook/article23638743/?page=all

Our lab Director, Prof. Adele Diamond, sharing a smile with Scott Shaw (an active member of Social Venture Partners [SVP], which partners with innovative non-profits that support children in-need and youth at-risk, providing not just funds but business and professional expertise to strengthen the non-profits and increase their impact) as they spent a rainy afternoon touring terrific non-profit organizations in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside supported by SVP.

Check out the great work SVP is doing online: http://www.socialventurepartners.org/vancouver/

The day ended with Prof. Diamond sharing her expertise on how different programs can positively impact children and youth in the community.
