The more we talk to those around us about Project True, the more we realize that almost everyone we speak with has been impacted by disordered eating. Whether this impact has been a personal struggle, or through watching someone they care about go through this journey, we passionately feel it is time to step up so we can provide recovery-based support for our family, friends and community.

HAPPY 7th Birthday Sydney 🎉🥳😘🎈Yesterday our big baby girl turned 7, WOW seems like yesterday we were bringing her home. Sydney you light up our lives and hearts with your bubbly personality, piano playing, tap dancing, musical theatre performances, your creativity, love for nature, your want to try new things, your welcoming of others and your tender care and concern for those around you. You amaze us with your maturity and understanding and we love your sense of style. Mommy was told she could never have kids on her own and then you came along, our miracle. Thank you for brining light into our lives. We love you more then words can say. Wish BIG, dream BIGGER xoxoxoxoxo❤️🩷

Happy Navy Seafit 1 yr Anniversary!!!! A year ago yesterday I was able to put a big red checkmark beside a bucket list item, “Navy seals training/testing”. A year ago I completed the crucible navy seals training and I can honestly say that besides natural childbirth x2 nothing has changed me more mentally, physically and emotionally. I travelled to San Diego and was dropped off in what felt like the middle of nowhere where I was subjected to 18+ ice baths, more burpees then I can count, bear crawling in thick mud, being hosed down, yelled at, told you are good for nothing & want to quit, plank holds, sandbag drags, carries, soaking wet army boots and living on energy bars and electrolyte water as I ran up mountains carrying a 50lb pack only to be told we as a team did it wrong & needed to do it again. Today I am proud of this accomplishment and truly grateful for the opportunity and grit it took to stand tall when I was called in and told I passed and could be dismissed. To this day I train with my “boat crew” over zoom where we continue to grind away each day, getting stronger in all aspects of life. This event in my life and all the lead up training has made me more resiliant, has made me a better person, mother and teammate. For anyone who is wondering: yes I was scared, anxious, I doubted myself and I also trained long and hard for this, it was simple but not easy like most things in life. Many may think “why would you even want to do this, are you crazy?” Short answer is Yes I am a little crazy, but this was not only a life goal of mine, but a test of my strength in and out. If there is something on your life list waiting to be marked as complete, get after it, train hard, follow your heart, head down, chin up and make it happen. You have in it YOU trust me…Hooyah!!!

Today we acknowledge our full hearts and our heavy hearts as today is Grandpa Bauman’s birthday, the amazing man who left us much too soon just over a year ago and who now lives with us and through us. Not a day passes that we do not see Grandpa, whether in Clinton as he fixes something broken in the house, re-wires the electrical or scores 3 goals in hockey, Sydney on the piano or guitar or Taylor wearing his beaten up Batman hat Grandpa gave him 3 years ago. Today we celebrate and mourn and we are forever grateful to have had Grandpa in our lives…we miss you, we love you and we wish you a happy birthday xoxoxoxoxo💝
