Here's an enchanting way to start your spring break, from the Vancouver International Dance Festival (VIDF).

Hudu: Dive into a fascinating world designed for neurodivergent audiences, offering a unique underwater adventure. Hudu is an accessible, interactive and sensory experience that comes to life through the authentic reactions of audience members. Each participant is free to engage in their own way, in this story of human connection and friendship.

Created for a neuro-atypical audience, especially individuals on the autism spectrum and those with intellectual disabilities, Hudu invites you to join two divers on an enchanting journey through a luminous underwater realm. Accompanied by two musicians weaving an entrancing soundscape, the divers transform into aquatic beings, sharing the joy of life beneath the sea.

There are two showings on Mar 13 and two more on Mar 14.

"Show Gone" is a sharp, intimate duet that flips the lights and the story, revealing the pleasure + impossibility of controlling a narrative in a world of constant refresh. They turn the lights up. Matija Ferlin's a Croatian theatre director, ensemble dance piece choreographer + performer of his own one-man shows.

Ame's an artist working with dance + choreography. Her work proposes experiential modes of being together.

This is the third of Ame + Matija's duet triptych (2009’s "The Most Together We’ve Ever Been", 2015’s "Out of Season").
