Skip BMI, your waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) is a far better predictor of cardiometabolic risk, because it actually reflects visceral fat (the kind wrapped around your organs that drives disease).

The rule of thumb:
Waist < ½ Height

Target WHR under 0.5

To measure: wrap a tape horizontally around your waist at the top of the iliac crest (your hip bone) — not your belly button, which shifts with weight and shape. Keep the tape snug, breathe out, and divide that number by your height.

If your number isn't where you'd like it, that's not a verdict, it's a starting point.

When most people hear "Botox," they think wrinkles, but therapeutic Botox is a different conversation. Dr. Alaina Overton, ND is now offering it at Mint for functional relief, not aesthetics.

Can help with:
Chronic migraines
TMJ pain
Jaw clenching
Teeth grinding
Neck & shoulder tension
Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
Masseter hypertrophy

By quieting overactive muscles and nerve signals, it can be a game-changer for these conditions. Results typically kick in within 1–2 weeks and last 3–4 months.

If you've been white-knuckling through migraines or waking up with a sore jaw, book a consult with Dr. Overton.

Contact the clinic at 604-251-3456 or [email protected] to book this visit.

If your relationship with food feels overwhelming… you’re not the only one.

We see this all the time.

“I don’t have an eating disorder though…”
“I just think about food a lot…”
“I just feel bad after I eat sometimes…”

Disordered eating doesn’t always come with a diagnosis.
Sometimes it shows up as stress, guilt, control, or just constantly thinking about food.

And honestly?
Food isn’t supposed to take up that much space in your life.

We don’t just look at what you’re eating.
We look at why this is happening in the first place.

Your nervous system.
Your stress.
Your patterns.
Your story.

Because this isn’t just about food.

Dr. Alexandra Sisam, ND focuses on mental health and complex relationships with food and offers a free 15-minute meet & greet so you can see if this feels like the right fit.
