ADHD & Omega 3 fatty acids - some ADHD specific information and references✨
Historically, the research on ADHD and omega 3’s has been inconclusive, but as science progresses, the research is getting to the core of what actually seems to help✨
It looks like there is some momentum looking more at the RATIO of Omega 3’s to Omega 6’s in our diet versus solely increasing our Omega 3 intake✨
But the bottom line is that research seems to show that ADHD’ers are more consistently deficient in Omega 3’s when compared to non-ADHD’ers✨
Marine Omega 3 sources that are tested for mercury are the best source of Omega 3’s✨
Talk with your physician or a naturopath/nutritionist to get a better idea on amounts of Omega 3 as well as the EPA/DHA ratios that would be the best for you or your child✨
Also to note: Nutrasea has just recently brought out a fish oil specifically for ADHD - and I love the brand. I have no affiliation with it what so ever - I just love that they have researched the Omega 3 - ADHD relationship and created a product specifically for us. ✨ And they also have great safety protocols around testing for mercury etc…
