Meet our newest reduced-cost counsellor, Sohilah! 🤍

Sohilah is completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and brings a deep curiosity, thoughtfulness, and emotional sensitivity to her work. Having grown up between cultures, she brings a nuanced understanding of identity, belonging, and what it means to feel truly seen.

Sohilah can support you as you navigate:
🌀 anxiety
🌀 attachment and relationship challenges
🌀 depression
🌀 trauma
🌀 life transitions
🌀 cultural identity and belonging

She draws from emotion-focused, trauma-informed, somatic, and attachment-based approaches, and tailors her work to fit you — because therapy is never one-size-fits-all.

Sohilah sees youth, adults, and couples at a reduced rate, online and in person at our North Shore clinic. She also offers sessions in both English and Arabic.

And a few fun facts about Sohilah:

📚 lifelong reader and quiet café enthusiast
🐱 firm believer that cats make life better
🌍 born in Egypt, raised between cultures

Such a thrill to see the beautiful waiting room at Open Space Counselling North Shore grace the cover of magazine (one of our fave industry mags). And even more exciting to be interviewed for their feature piece on using ChatGPT for therapy (spoiler: I tried it. I have opinions).

Head to the link in our bio to find our recent blog post on ChatGPT and mental health, when it’s helpful, how to use it safely, and what humans still have to offer.

Have you ever used ChatGPT for therapy?

Coming in 2026… Mom Rage Reset, but make it in a group!

For the past couple of years, our popular Mom Rage Reset program has helped dozens of moms clarify their rage triggers, apply relevant (and effective) strategies, and show up with more confidence and calm with their families.

There’s something about sharing a space with other moms in the trenches. No performative convincing. No cherry picking feelings or thoughts. No pressure. No judgement. Just tons of support, camaraderie, and simple strategies that actually help.

Rolling intake, join when you can, you’re always welcome. All sessions will be held online and are open to moms across Canada.

The first step is joining the waitlist (link in bio), and we’ll be in touch soon!
