Our Ambassadors!
We’re excited to highlight six very special residents: Aiden, Beans, Oliver, Patrick, Phoebe, and Kingston the mule, who are helping us share an important story as our Ambassadors. Each of them represents a different reason donkeys and mules come into care at the DSC, and together, they’re helping people of all ages better understand their needs and welfare.
To bring their stories to life, we’ve collaborated with One Thousand Trees founder Lisa Browning, who kindly donated her time, to create a beautiful children’s picture book, plus a companion colouring book! These books are designed to spark empathy, curiosity, and compassion in young readers (and the grown-ups reading along, too).
Every purchase helps support the donkeys and mules in our care, providing essentials like veterinary care, nutritious food, shelter, and enrichment.
You will find the books on our website, at the Sanctuary boutique, and through One Thousand Trees. We hope you’ll take a moment to meet our Ambassadors and help share their stories.
