🪶🧡 Gender-Based Violence: Calendar of Significant Dates 🧡🪶
The Nova Scotia Native Women’s Association has created a calendar highlighting important awareness dates, campaigns, and commemorative events connected to gender-based violence prevention, advocacy, Indigenous women, 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, healing, and human rights.
This resource was created to support education, advocacy, community planning, awareness initiatives, and ongoing conversations throughout the year.
The calendar includes dates such as:
🧡 Red Dress Day
🧡 Moose Hide Campaign Day
🧡 Blue Jean Jacket Day
🧡 National Human Trafficking Awareness Day
🧡 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
🧡 Pride Season
🧡 Gender Equality Week
…and many more.
While NSNWA may not formally observe every date listed, each remains important to recognize, reflect upon, and help raise awareness within our communities.
We encourage chapters, communities, organizations, schools, and partners to save, share, and use this resource to support advocacy, education, and programming throughout the year.
