A man once came with a sword to kill Prophet Muhammad ﷺ while he was resting under a tree. When the man threatened him, the Prophet ﷺ calmly said, “Allah will save me.” The man’s hand began to shake and the sword fell. When the Prophet ﷺ gained control, he had the chance for revenge… but instead he forgave the man and let him go. The man returned to his people saying, “I came from the best man on earth.” This is the mercy and noble character of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — the mercy sent to all of humanity.

One day the trumpet will be blown… and everything in the heavens and the earth will collapse. Then it will be blown again… and every human being from the beginning of time until the last will rise from their graves to stand before Allah.
On that Day, no wealth will matter. No status will matter. No power will matter. Every king, every leader, every rich and poor person will stand equal before their Lord.
The Qur’an describes a terrifying moment when people will flee even from their closest family — their parents, their spouses, and their children — because everyone will be worried about their own soul.
Will they go to Paradise… or Hellfire?
This reminder from the Qur’an calls us to reflect on the reality of the Day of Judgment and the importance of protecting our prayer, because the first thing we will be asked about is our salah.
May Allah make us among those who succeed on that Day.

This is Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Decree — the night when the Qur’an was revealed, when the angels descend to the earth, and when even Angel Jibril comes down by the permission of Allah.
