ICE Condos by Lanterra Developments is an artistically meditated conceptual project inspired by classic Scandinavian design. The inspiration for the project began with a trip to Denmark and Sweden which consisted of architect Emerich Kaspar of ArcitechtsAlliance, interior designers Alessandro Munge and Daria Wannicki of Munge Leung, photographer Joy van Tiedemann, and developers Mark Mandlebaum an
d Barry Fenton from Lanterra Developments. Scandinavian design features sharp modernist design with clean lines, natural materials, and high quality exceptional craftsmanship. The cozy Scandinavian design aesthetic brings life and soul to clean modernism which can be cold and remote, naturally resulting from futuristic edgy design. ICE reflects this 'humanized modernism' in its architecture, green footprint, and indoor and outdoor gathering space. ICE consists of two towers of 67 and 57 stories, and a 31 story office tower, with 1343 suites in total and a scheduled occupancy of 2014. All three towers will be connected by a podium level with shops and restaraunts, covered by a green roof canopy connected to the PATH. ICE will be located on York Street, midway between the ACC and the Rogers Centre. It is located in the Waterfront downtown Toronto neighborhood in close proximity to the financial and entertainment district, nightclubs, bars, shops, restaurants, Harbourfront, and all downtown conveniences. The ICE Bridge is the amenities complex which will consist of a state of the art fitness center featuring the latest cardio equipment and weights, Yoga and workout area, plunge pool, sauna, and steam room, and message room. Outdoor space is fundamental for the ICE concept and will fulfill that with a large outdoor lounge with a BBQ area. Other amenities feature a children's furnished playroom, lounge with dining room and full service kitchen, business center with board room and meeting room, 24 hour concierge, visitor parking, and closed circuit camera monitoring. ICE features studio suites, as well as 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom luxury suites. Residential features include 9 foot ceilings, exterior glass sliding doors, hardwood or laminate flooring, ensuite laundry, porcelain or ceramic in kitchen, designer cabinetry, granite counter tops, backsplash, stainless steel appliances, and other high end upgrades of your choice.
