When trailblazing journalist Nellie Bly went undercover in 1887, she assumed she would be surrounded by insanity. Instead, she found women discarded by a society that preferred them silenced. When Nellie dropped her "mad act" to tell the doctors the truth? They used her sanity as proof of mental illness.
The award-winning 10 DAYS IN A MADHOUSE subverts centuries of operatic history and turns the camera around on the audience, asking a chilling question: Whose speech gets read as mad, and who gets to decide who is believed?
