The Save Response Team

We dropped by Nucro-Technics in Scarborough today, Canada's largest private Contract Research Organization.
It's a huge animal lab, 60,000 square feet. The size of a large supermarket.
We talked briefly to a lab coordinator, requesting the release of a couple animals to an Ontario animal sanctuary. It would be a goodwill gesture, from them to the animals.
We were asked to leave the premises.
On our way off the property, we placed flyers about the Whistleblower Tip Line, a new venture by Animal Justice Canada, on the parked cars:

Nucro-Technics conducts a wide variety of animal experiments on a variety of animal types for their contracting clients, including acute toxicity tests, and dermal and eye irritation/corrosion tests.

An interesting tie-in to the recent controversy at St. Joseph's in London: Nucro-Technics conducts cardiopulmonary evaluations in dogs. I don't know if that means inducing heart attacks in dogs, but it sounds like it.

Presumably, there are many dogs, mice, rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs in that building undergoing extreme suffering, before they are killed & disposed of.
We've made a FIPPA request for exact information on annual animal usage at Nucro-Technics.
