Dumbo Snack Bar

it hardly feels real writing these words today, but here goes. Dumbo Snack Bar has exceeding my expectations in every possible way. The response from our guests, our reviews, best-of lists, and the fellow business owners and community in Parkdale made opening the doors each day a dream come true.

Dumbo wasn’t anything but a silly idea in my mind, and would have stayed that way if it weren’t for the incredible people behind the bar and kitchen, our family. It took one of my best friends and roommate agreeing to help if I gave him the title of “Thursday GM” a couple of kind hearted and energetic weirdos & , and a complete stranger who blew everyone away in the kitchen . Thank you, and thanks to everyone who helped make it possible along the way.

As we approached the summer, it became clear that most of the original team, myself included, would not be able to continue working on a regular basis, so rather than transition into a new ownership and staff, we have decided to go out with a bang.

will be closing for good at the end of May, with a party to end all parties May 24th & 25th. Thank you once more for the love and support this past year and a half. See you around.

TONIGHT! our monthly live comedy event, hosted by the very funny starting at 8pm! Our open mic night a couple weeks ago was so good I had tears streaming down my face. It ruined my shirt. Consider wearing a shirt you don’t mind covering in laughter tears. Arrive early to snag a seat!
