Congratulations to the incredibly talented as “Finding Her Edge” makes its debut tomorrow on !
“Finding Her Edge” is a sports drama adapted from Jennifer Iacopelli’s acclaimed YA novel and inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion. The series blends high‑stakes athletic ambition with an emotional love‑triangle at the heart of a famed yet financially struggling figure‑skating dynasty.
Prior to playing the lead role of Adriana Russo, Madelyn had a diverse screen career with roles spanning drama, mystery, romance, and thriller genres. In addition to acting, Madelyn is also an award‑winning screenwriter whose work has received international recognition on the film festival circuit.
Wishing the entire cast and team a phenomenal premiere and an exciting launch of what promises to be an unforgettable show.

A win is a win!
Earlier this week, I successfully settled a case just hours before it was set to go to trial. This is quite common, as many cases are resolved before reaching the courtroom.
This was a win for my plaintiff client because it:
✅ Avoids trial risk
✅ Reduces exposure
✅ Provides certainty and closure
I genuinely enjoy advocating for my clients. One of my earliest victories occurred during my 3rd year of law school when I won my first criminal trial against a senior Crown Attorney.
Litigation is not for everyone but sometimes it is necessary when a dispute cannot be resolved through discussion or negotiation. When one side won’t cooperate, key information is being withheld, or real harm is continuing, the court provides a neutral process with the authority to require participation and deliver a binding outcome.

Legal Lyndra Bites (LLB): digestible legal information in bite-sized pieces.
Sunset clauses prevent indefinite commitments and provide certainty for when obligations end.
Examples of sunset clauses:
1. A producer’s right to exploit a film expires after 10 years.
2. A talent’s profit participation stops after 5 years from release.
3. A management agreement gradually reduces the manager’s commission after the agreement ends.
Waterfalls protect investors by ensuring they recoup their money before profits are shared.
They also clarify expectations for everyone involved in a project about when and how they’ll be paid.
Examples of waterfalls in film:
1. Recoup production costs
2. Repay investors.
3. Distribute profits to producers and talent.

On the eve of the premiere of Netflix’s new docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, Combs sent Netflix a cease-and-desist over the series allegedly using unauthorized and stolen footage.
Netflix has denied the allegations, insisting that all of the footage was legally obtained.
The docuseries repeatedly mentions that “In September of 2024, Sean Combs had a videographer follow him while in New York City, during this time, Combs was under federal investigation. The filmmakers obtained this footage after Sean Combs was arrested.”
The series includes clips of Combs discussing what seems to be privileged solicitor-client information.
This dispute is likely far from over and litigation may be imminent.
The series is currently #1 on the platform.
