In this clip, he breaks down why orthotics are part science and part art. The right orthotic depends on the patient’s condition, body type, activity level, and even the shoes they wear — from work boots and athletic shoes to casual footwear and heels. Materials, flexibility, and design all matter because orthotics don’t just support the feet — they support the entire body.

When the foundation is properly supported, ankles, knees, hips, and the lower back don’t have to absorb unnecessary stress.

If bunion splints truly corrected bunions, we’d all be out of business. The reality is that bunions are structural changes in the foot, and waiting years hoping gadgets will “fix” them often just gives them more time to worsen.
