[1Pe 5:2-3 NKJV] 2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; 3 nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock;

Power and influence are gifts from God, but they are also tests of character. Many people believe power changes individuals, but in truth, power reveals what already exists in the heart. Without humility, authority becomes dangerous and destructive.

In God’s Kingdom, leadership is not about control or dominance; it is about stewardship and service. Jesus demonstrated this clearly by leading through example and humility. True authority is expressed through love, compassion, and responsibility, not intimidation.

When humility is absent, power leads to abuse, insensitivity, and isolation. But when humility governs leadership, influence becomes a channel of blessing to others. God entrusts responsibility to those who will use it to serve rather than exalt themselves.

Managing power with humility requires constant dependence on God, accountability with others, and a heart that remembers its journey. The higher God lifts you, the deeper humility must take root.
