General information
The Project Management Toastmasters Club (PMTMC) was established in September 2011 as a vehicle for individuals interested in or associated with the project management profession to improve their communication and leadership skills.
PMTMC’s mission is to help members enhance their speaking and listening skills, improve their leadership and project management skills, and foster camaraderie among PM practitioners. The club empowers members to become better communicators, leaders and project management practitioners by fostering an environment conducive to continuous development within the PM profession.
PMTMC is taking a proven program and adding a unique flavour. Established in 1924, Toastmasters currently has in excess of 270,000 members and 13,000 clubs in 116 countries.
The key element that differentiates PMTMC from other toastmasters clubs is the open forum discussion where project management practitioners, subject matter experts and project management novices convene to share ideas, tools, techniques, best practices and practical applications of project management principles. Moderated by members and sometimes by guest speakers, this unique component helps hone presentation and facilitation skills in a setting that is geared toward the professional development of PM practitioners.
Whether you are a seasoned professional or a novice, PMTMC can help you improve your communication, leadership and project management skills.
