Andrea England
Canada’s Andrea England has a unique ability to work successfully in two different music worlds, placing her pop co-writes such as “Casualty” on Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger’s solo debut album, Killer Love, and recording and performing as a solo artist herself in a folk/roots/country vein. Her sophomore album, Hope & Other Sins, produced by Colin Linden, is the long-awaited follow-up to 2005’s Lemonade. Hope & Other Sins, is available online now at http://www.andreaengland.com/store

Honoured and excited to be wearing both business and business/creative hats next week as we start off International Women’s Week with the first Women in Music Global Summit to be held in Canada. Taking place in Toronto from March 2–4, 2026, and brought to us by the hard work and dedication of Women In Music Canada, the three-day event will bring together women and gender-diverse leaders from across the global music industry. Culminating on March 5th with the 4th annual Women in Music Canada Honours, next week is sure to be informative, invigorating, and absolutely inspiring.

I’m so pleased, on behalf of CMRRA, to be here at Folk Alliance International in New Orleans this week to support publishers, songwriters, industry partners, live music, and the many culture-bearers of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Music matters now more than ever, as do collaboration and celebration!
