A SLICE OF HISTORY.

Wonder is a testament to the successful reimagination of the former Weston Bread Factory, Canada’s largest independent bread bakery, into a modern residential haven. With a cherished legacy deeply rooted in Toronto’s Leslieville community, the transformation into contemporary condos created a buzz
in the city’s flourishing condominium market. Our mission was to craft a brand that would honor the building’s rich history and prime location, while infusing it with a touch of wonder.

Embracing both the building’s storied past and the location’s vibrant future, we decided on the evocative name «Wonder.» Its timeless appeal struck a chord with audiences, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. To highlight the development’s unique characteristics, we used the building’s heritage interiors as a backdrop for staging modern everyday moments. This approach allowed prospective buyers to envision themselves living in the space while appreciating the building’s historical significance. From the brochure housing piece that was reminiscent of a flour sack to the colourful rolling pins that held floorplans at the sales centre, we balanced history with a contemporary design vernacular.

Wonder was a resounding success. The brand was carefully molded around the building’s heritage and its vibrant future. By combining the past and present seamlessly, we captured the market’s imagination and solidified Wonder as a symbol of renewal and community cohesion.
