WHAT A NIGHT!!! Last night I had the honour of helping auction off a signed (and played) guitar by the legendary Tenor himself Maestro Andrea Bocelli! In support of Chai Lifeline Canada, we started at $18,000 (thinking we'd max out at $30,000-$50,000) and I fast-talked and paced the stage and rilled the room up to ending with an incredible $150,000 closing bid!! One hundred and fifty thousand dollars!! What an incredible and impactful contribution to helping families in need of support. On September 3, 2019, after a long well fought battle with cancer, my dad, Dr. Jay Keystone, elected to do Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID in short - a legal procedure in Canada). My family supported his decision. Thank you to his MAID physician, PSWs, and Dying With Dignity Canada for the important work they do, and thank you True Stories (Told Live) Toronto and Yes Yes Marsha for giving me the space to share my story. This was my experience... and this is why MAID is so important...
