Hot and humid days are finally upon us in Toronto!

Please remember that paper can be very susceptible to temperature fluctuations and high humidity. Exposure to these environments can make paper at risk of expanding and contracting, which can result in buckling and warping. It is important to have a stable climate environment, if possible, to help minimize these outcomes.

In these images, our client brought a very delicate piece that was top matted, which accentuated the buckling of the paper. We removed the top mat and floated the piece, giving it more room to expand and contract, if needed, but also displaying the red border detail.

We fabricated a custom lacquer frame, giving the piece a much needed contemporary look.

Framing Fund recipient Delali Cofie's solo exhibition "A Place of Ours" opens at tomorrow, as part of festival.

We framed most of Delali's pieces in fumed oak stained frames shown here, complimenting the warm tones of the photographs.
