Pielgrzymka do grobów Hallerczyków w Niagara on the Lake

Szanowne Koleżanki i Koledzy.
W minioną niedzielę prognoza pogody dla Niagara on the Lake była wyjątkowo zmienna i nieprzewidywalna. Prawdopodobieństwo opadów deszczu i burz wynosiło 100%. W związku z tą prognozą pogody uroczystość na cmentarzu została odwołana. Ogłoszono, że uroczysta msza święta odbędzie się w polskiej parafii w St. Catharines.
Niemniej jednak były okresy bezdeszczowe. Widać na załączonym filmie, pogoda pozwoliła również wielu organizacjom złożyć hołd.

Film nie uwzględnia wkładu Fundacji Charytatywnej SPK w Kanadzie. Dzięki jej inicjatywie i finansowaniu, w szczególności ze strony SPK nr 6 z Edmonton i SPK nr 18 z Calgary, oraz współpracy z KPK-Niagara, po raz pierwszy na cmentarzu pojawiła się flaga Francji. Dodatkowe podziękowania kierujemy do Kolegi Wiesława Kurana, Prezes Fundacji, który ściśle współpracował z wykonawcą, dbając o to, by maszt flagowy został ustawiony do 14 czerwca.

Pilgrimage to the Graves of the Haller Soldiers in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Dear Colleagues;
This past Sunday, the weather forecast for Niagara on the Lake was extremely volatile and unpredictable. It was 100% rain and thunderstorms. Due to this weather forecast, the ceremony at the cemetery was cancelled. It was announced that a solemn Mass would be held at the Polish parish in St. Catharines.
Nevertheless, there were peiods that were rain free. As you can see in the attached video, the weather did allow for many organizations to pay tribute, as well.

The video does not recognize the contribution made by the Charitable Foundation of the PCA. Thanks to its initiative and funding, particularily from SPK #6-Edmonton and SPK #18-Calgary, and working with KPK-Nigaraga, for the first time there was a flag of France present at the cemetery. Addtional thanks go out to Kolega Wieslaw Kuran, Foundation President, who worked closely with the contractor, ensuring that the flagpole would be placed by June 14.
